London to Paris to Venice
Embrace your love of the journey on the world’s most iconic train - the Venice Simplon Orient-Express is back on track. Step aboard and be whisked back to an age of timeless nostalgia and boundless glamour. Indulge in their re-designed grand suites with new boarding points in Rome, Florence, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Geneva. Belmond’s founder, James B Sherwood, purchased two vintage train carriages at a Monte Carlo auction. James searched far and wide to unearth stately rail relics including cars from the famous vintage trains - Le Train Bleu and the Rome Express. Each carriage has a dedicated cabin steward with four-course dinners served in the restaurant cars, and evenings are often finished in the bar car, where a pianist provides even more atmosphere. Itineraries range from a one-night, intercity jaunt to weeklong trips punctuated by extended stays at Belmond’s hotels, such as Castello di Casole, in Tuscany, and Villa San Michele, in Florence. Belmond was acquired by French holding corp. LVMH in 2019.
